Hot Air Jr Demo Released!

Here it is Nitromians!

The demo we promised this week is from our upcoming game Hot Air Jr!

We are really happy with the original Hot Air games and we have taken the concept of guiding your balloon through dangerous environments with your fan whilst also trying to give Hot Air Jr a nice balance in terms of difficulty.

Something we noticed in the original Hot Air games was just how unforgiving they were, so with that in mind, Hot Air Jr is being developed to give users some areas to rest and think about the obstacles ahead without always having to worry about the constant spikes! :)

We would really like to know what you all think of the game engine so far, as your feedback could help us make the game even better.

Please note that this demo arena is not a level from the final game. The arena has been created for you all to have some fun, get to know the controls and explore the game and the game engine!

Enjoy the demo and let us know what you think via Facebook, Twitter or Email!

Gunbrick Released!

Hi Nitromians!

We've just added a brand new game release to our site and one that we have never spoke of until now... it's been a bit of a secret experimental project :)

This is our very first ever game that you can actually play within the icon itself, so you don't have to go to another page to play it. For those who prefer the games bigger, you can still play the game here at full size, but we recommend checking it out within the icon on the front page for the real teeny tiny affect!

Because the game had to fit within the icon, we have had to squeeze the game into just 50x50 pixels! It was both a lot of fun and a challenge to see what we could do within this limitation.

Ok so I guess we should tell you about Gunbrick itself! You control the gun-brick, a square block that can rotate left and right. One surface on the square block has a shield and the opposite side has a gun and by orienting yourself into the correct direction, you can shoot things, block things, shunt yourself sideways and even rocket jump!

Can you make it through the 10 challenging levels and pass the devilish boss?

Play Gunbrick Here (Game Page): Click Here!
Play Gunbrick (Inside Icon): Click Here!

How's that for a Friday Update? :)

Have a great weekend!

Cheese Dreams Demo Released!

And the demo is for... ...drum roll.....

...A new Cheese Dreams Title!

Looking back, we are pleased with what we did with Cheese Dreams and our initial idea was to make a follow up to the game. The first game was difficult….in retrospect probably too difficult and we felt that a lot of people would not have made it to the end of the game.

Without giving too much away it would mean setting the second game in a different location and most people would not understand the reason for it. We love the world we created with the first game so in order to fully explore what happens next we wanted to first give a new version of the original that people would have a better chance of making it through... then go on to show what happens next.

Although the game is a remake it has got all new levels which incorporate both the elements from the original and much, much more!

The game also has an all-new, full physics engine. It is this change in particular that we want to show off to you in the demo to see if you like the feel or what suggestions you may have that could affect the final release.

Have Fun and let us know what you think over at Facebook or Twitter!

Hi Nitromians!

Skywire VIP Extended has now been released as a full Nitrome title!

The follow up game started out as a cool, fan initiated project over on the scratch community by Max Schramp and Duncan Smith. We decided to ask them if they would like us to launch an official release on our site and here it is!

There are loads of brand new characters to guess in this, we hope you don’t need to use the hints too much and all have fun!

Swindler Released!

Hi Nitromians!

Remember the preview image and teaser video we posted recently?

Well, we’re very pleased to announce the arrival of our newest game. Drop, tangle and roll your way through Swindler!

Many of you have been comparing it to one of our older games, Dangle. Its rope mechanics does indeed share some similarities, both with that and the final ninja series.

This time, however, we’ve added 360 degree twists to the proceedings. Now you can rotate the whole world around you to get where you’re going!

As always, your feedback is always appreciated. Comment us on Facebook, Twitter and trusty email. Game away!
